Supporting Students

Smyth County Community Foundation is committed to creating opportunities for students of all ages to pursue further education after high school. Through our scholarship program, we help support students as they build their skills to be successful, caring citizens in our county.

Online application submission for Changing Lives Through Healthcare Scholarship, Judy Taminger Scholarship and Louise Blevins-Leslie Girls Golf Scholarship is closed for 2024.  Please check back in January 2025 for scholarship opportunities for next year.  
Click on Smyth Promise Scholarship below to see instructions for qualifying for this scholarship.  It is available for students throughout the year, but you must meet the scholarship criteria.

Linda Helton and Mike Robinson with the Smyth County Community Foundation presented a matching grant to Mayor David Helms and the Marion Town Council for their project to upgrade Ogburn Park.
